The MTG Imperium Games Winter Cup League is Official!

Get your decks ready, we are officially launching a 3-month Winter Cup League running from June through August!

This is an open-entry league, meaning the more players we get, the bigger the overall prize pool grows.

If you want to test your skills, climb a leaderboard, and play for some massive prizes, this is for you.

How the League Works (The “Best 4” Rule)

Entry Fee: R100 per League Day (Pay only on the days you show up).

Event Scoring: Win = 3 pts | Draw = 1 pt | Loss = 0 pts.

Life Happens Buffer: You do not have to attend every week to make the cut! Your overall leaderboard standing will be calculated using only your 4 best scores across the 9 weeks. If you play in all 9, we drop your lowest 5 results. If you can only make it to 4 events, you still have a massive shot at qualifying!

The Grand Finals & Prizes

At the end of Week 9, the Top 12 players on the leaderboard will earn an invitation to the Grand Finals on August 30th.

The Clean Slate: Once you qualify, the leaderboard resets. Everyone enters Finals Day with 0 points and an equal chance to win first place!

The Format: Everyone plays 2 Swiss rounds. The top 4 players with the best records advance to a sudden-death single-elimination bracket to crown the champion.

No Early Knockouts: Players who do not make the Top 4 cut will move into a parallel Challenger bracket to play out the rest of the day for side prizes, everyone stays playing Magic!

The Loot:

Custom Winter Cup Champion Playmat awarded exclusively to 1st Place!

A Full MTG Booster Box to be distributed among all players on Finals Day, with the prize pool scaling up even further based on total season attendance! Everyone playing in the finals walks away with booster packs!

Your league standing uses only your 4 best event totals across the 9 league days. If you play all 9, your lowest 5 results are dropped.
